<p>The present invention is a knockdown portable commode (10) fabricated from two tubular aluminum U shaped sides (12 14) that each form two legs (16 18) joined by a horizontal portion (20) providing a hand grip (22), and an arm rest. A molded plastic tubing connector is permanently positioned on each leg (16 18). The front leg (16) of each side (12 14) carries a single tee connector (30) for receiving one end of one tubular rail or seat support (34). The back leg (18) carries a connector (54) that receives two separate pieces of tubing, one a seat support (58), the other a backrest (62). Because each of the disassembled sides is relatively flat, as are other components, it is possible to store, and ship the unassembled commode in a relatively thin carton.</p> |
