The invention relates to a communications system with a signal structure divided into data blocks and frames with test sequences and data sequences. According to the invention, additional control signals are added to the data frames for transmitting particular information which is relevant to data evaluation in code. Particularly advantageous examples for coding and decoding control symbols of this type are provided.
