Solid selegiline dosage form

A solid pharmaceutical composition based on a salt of selegiline R(-)-N-methyl-N-(1-phenyl-2-propyl)-2-propynylamine and excipients is claimed, where the pH of the composition is adjusted to an acidic value with a solid acid. Preferably the composition is in tablet form and may be provided with a pH-independent water-insoluble coating to control selegiline release, especially comprising ethylcellulose or an acrylic resin. The coating weight is 4-6 (especially 5) mg/cm<2>.
