Swing for sport and recreation has a seat sliding on a guide to enable the user to shift the center of mass and pivot section hand grips. A swing for sport and recreation has the swing ropes replaced by a rigid frame (1) suspended from the swing frame and with a seat (2) on a sliding mounting on a guide rail at right angles to the suspended frame. The seat is attached to the suspended frame by two hand grip frames (3) with swivel mountings (6) to the support frame. This enables the user to pull forward and push back to change the center of mass. The user is strapped into the seat for safety and has foot supports (4) at the end of the guide frame. The user is able to swing higher than with conventional swings.
