The tomography device has a display device for indicating the expected noise level in dependence on the operating parameters of the tomography device and the selected pulse sequence parameters. The parameters of the pulse sequence affecting the operating noise level may be adjusted by a tomography device operating control, for preventing a defined noise level from being exceeded.
