The sleeve seat making process produces a sleeve seat on a drive shaft (10) for a folding bellows. One wheel-side sleeve seat is made with a recessed bush suitable for mass production, which fits on a stop surface on the sleeve seat. One wheel-side head of the drive shaft is produced by a turning operation, in which at least one clamping shoe (18) is fitted between the wheel-side head and the wheel-side sleeve seat.
