Rotary X=ray tube

The X-ray tube includes a getter arrangement arranged in a vacuum casing, which is heated by an electron ray (5) emitted by an electron emitter (3) arranged in the casing (2). The electron ray is diverted (6), and is alternatively directed on an anode (4) arranged in the casing for generating X-rays, or on the getter arrangement for its heating. Two separately operable electron emitters may be provided in the casing, whereby the electron ray of the one emitter is directed on the anode for generating X-rays, and the electron ray of the other emitter is directed on the getter arrangement. The getter arrangement is arranged in the area of the anode, or on the anode itself.
