The invention relates to a method for wireless transmission of audio signals and to the audio equipment (50) and the audio playback device (25) for the implementation of the inventive method. According to said method, audio signals are transmitted wireless between at least one audio signal source (1, 5, 10, 15) and an audio playback device (25) which is distant from the at least one audio signal source (1, 5, 10, 15). A transmitter (30) of the audio playback device (25) emits signals to a receiver (35) of the at least one audio signal source (1, 5, 10, 15). The at least one audio signal source (1, 5, 10, 15) is connected to an additional transmitter (40) depending on the information contained in the signals. The audio signals of the at least one audio signal source (1, 5, 10, 15) are emitted by the additional transmitter (40) to a receiver (45) of the audio playback device (25).
