A processed food is enclosed in a primary container such as a tube or an airtight vacuum-packed foil. The food and air-sealed primary container or wrapper are then enclosed within a secondary airtight outer wrapper which is pressurized with a gas between the inner primary wrapper and the secondary wrapper and sealed.
