A differential pressure flow meter (110) including a passage (122) which has an inlet section (142), a converging section (130) to cause constriction, an extended throat (134), a diffuser section (138) and an outlet section (140) of a multi-phase flow. A plurality of pressure monitoring sites (150, 154, 158, 162) are disposed in the flow meter to monitor the pressure of the multi-phase flow as it passes through the passage. The pressure of the multi-phase flow is measured prior to constriction in the inlet section (142), upstream of the extended throat (134a), downstream of the extended throat (134b) and after constriction in the outlet section (140). The measured pressures are then compared and processed to provide the respective flow rates of at least two phases of the multi-phase flow.
