Bendable elastic coupling for drive shafts

A drive shaft coupling connects an outer, hollow drive shaft (2) with an inner drive shaft (17) using a number of torsion elements (4,5) arranged between outer (8), and inner (9) mountings and aligned to transmit torque in either direction. An axial bearing (12) between the outer and inner mountings is provided by two thrust rings clamped between support rings. One support ring (19) sits on the inner shaft while the other support (20) is clamped to the outer mounting.
