The first type of staple is a one-piece staple (10), a locking mechanism (20) with a retainer (14), and an enclosed tunnel (18). The second type of staple is a two-piece staple (30) having a first body (32) with a leg (34) connected to an arrow head (16), and a second body (42) with a retainer (44) at each end.
