<p>A lightwave oven and method of cooking therewith that cooks food contained in cookware having a given reflectivity, and automatically changes the lightwave oven cooking sequence to compensate for the reflectivity of the cookware. A first plurality of lamps (36, 38) is positioned above the cooking region and a second plurality of lamps (56, 58) is positioned below the cooking region. An optical sensor measures the radiant energy emitted by the second plurality of lamps (56, 58) which is reflected by the bottom surface of the cookware.</p> |
