Flexible, fluid-cooled cable piece for high electric current

The cable piece is composed of a flexible conductor part (8), whose ends are grasped respective coupling part (3), and a tube (11) which covers the conductor part and the coupling part sealingly during operation. The tube enveloping the part and the coupling part covers these only loosely in the expanded condition, and a fluid-sealing coating is only produced at installation. The cable piece is composed of a flexible conductor part, whose both ends are grasped in respectively one coupling part (3), and a tube (11) which covers the conductor part and the coupling part sealingly during operation. Both coupling parts are identical, and the conductor part (8) consists of flat, flexible current bands between both coupling parts, which are formed through wires, and whose ends are grasped in contact sheaths (9). The contact sheaths are arranged rotation-symmetric to their axis in a stretched condition of the cable piece, and are evenly distributed around it. Both coupling parts have respectively the form of a cylindrical step cone, whose tips point towards each other. The ends of the flexible current bands hit at the front surface area of the cylindrical steps. Axial drill holes for a coolant stream are formed through the front surface areas of the cylinder steps, between the ends of the flexible current bands. The tube enveloping the part and the coupling part covers these only loosely in the expanded condition, and fluid-sealing coating is only reached at installation.
