The invention relates to wiper device for controlling a device in vehicles, especially a motor vehicle wiper (13). Said device comprises a rain sensor (20) which detects and evaluates the wetness of a glass pane, especially with a microcontroller, whose sensor signals (22) are used for controlling the device. The inventive device also comprises a control element (14, 16, 18) for manual and visual adjustment of the sensitivity of the rain sensor (20), said control element being fitted with a display (16) and push buttons (18).
