Device that can be coupled to a conventional rotational beometer (of the cone-and-plate or plate-plate type) so as to allow the uniaxial and isothermal assay of testtubes at constant deformation velocity. The rotary movement of the adapter 2, connected to the lower fixing system (S.F.I.) of the beometer, is transmitted by a system of belts to two counter-rotating rolls 3. The sample A to be assayed is fixed on one of the ends between these rolls and on the other by the securing device 4 integral with the shaft 1, coupled to the upper fixing system (S.F.S) of the beometer, which has a torque measuring device. The invention utilizes the automatic control capacity of the beometer to actuate the adapter 2 [or, the rolls 3], urging the sample A uniaxially at a pre-set deformation velocity. The corresponding force is determined on the basis of the torque measured. <IMAGE>
