PUMPING EQUIPMENT FOR PUMPING A FLUID FROM A BORE HOLE, PUMP AND METHOD FOR PUMPING A FLOWING MEDIUM

The present invention relates to a pump in which the cavities are defined by the walls of one or more chambers. The cavity for pumping the medium is connected to the housing cavity as well as to a discharge channel through a discharge valve. The cavities for the driving fluid are connected by corresponding ducts and by a corresponding channel to hydraulic engines. This pump includes resilient diaphragms capable of conforming to the shape of the wall surface of the chamber which defines a corresponding cavity when an excess pressure is applied in the other cavity. The volume of the chamber is defined by a first semi-envelope and by a diaphragm when the surface of the latter is brought into contact with the surface of the other semi-envelope, wherein said volume is larger than the volume of a part of the hydraulic engine chamber between the extreme positions of the engine plunger during the upper and lower end-positions of the connecting rod. The chamber volume is further larger than the volume of the driving medium which is fed into the pump when discharging the pumped medium through its discharge channel out of the housing cavity. At the end of each discharging cycle of the pumped medium and when the excess pressure in the cavity of this medium exceeds the pressure maintaining the discharge valve in an open position, the mobile part of the resilient diaphragm is attached in a non-contact or partial contact position relative to the semi-envelope defining the pumped medium cavity in the pump chamber.
