A non-refillable valve comprises a valve body 1 with a main valve pin 2 operable therein to allow discharge through the valve and a floating valve pin 6 operable therein to allow discharge through the valve but to prevent filling through the valve and comprising a removable retainer 9, which may be a press-fitted plug in the valve body, operable in relation to the floating valve pin 6 to allow an initial filling through the valve. The removable retainer 9 is preferably arranged to fall within a container to which the valve is filled to give an audible indication of non-refillability. The valve is suited to use on gas cylinders, especially for check and calibration gases. |
