The invention concerns a method to be used for sealing a fluid package, which comprises a cylindrical or truncated cone-shaped casing 1 and end pieces 2, 3 attached to it, at least one of which 3 is made of fibre-based material, for example material with a board base, or fluid-packing board, whereby it comprises a turn-up edge folded in the direction of the casing 1, by which edge the end piece is fixed to the casing 1 whereby, according to the method, and in respect at least of the casing 1 and the said one end piece, the finished packing is filled with fluid 4 and the packing is closed. According to the invention, the one end piece 3 is moistened on the surface which points outwards in the packing, whereby its rigidity is reduced to such an extent that the end piece can be used as a bellows to control the pressure inside the packing. <IMAGE>
