The gas-oil is pumped through a filter (20) placed at the inlet of the pump. The filter is in the form of a bag made of an elastic material, and collapses if there is a blockage. The inner surfaces (22,24) of the bag carry two electrical contacts (23,25) which, when closed by the collapse of the bag, connect the current supply to an electrical heating resistance in the supply conduit to the pump chamber, heating the fuel to remove crystals and allowing the pump to deliver fuel again. |
