The rack is used in chamber and tunnel convection driers fora wide range of materials. It has increased drying surface perunit volume due to the small distances between its tiers, easieraccess to their interior, reduced material consumption of thedriers and is easily fabricated. The rack consists of a supportingstructure (1) and tiers (2) having gas-permeable bottoms (3).Between every two tiers, including between the last one and theceiling and between the first one and the floor there are inletand outlet holes for gases or air. The holes between two adjacenttiers are only inlet (5', 5") or only outlet (4', 4"). The holesof the same type are fitted at every other tier, and those atevery following tier are of different type compared with those ofthe preceding tier.1 claim, 1 figure
