A wheel-actuated chocking device is provided for restraining at least one wheel of a vehicle rolling on a driveway extending to a dock at a chock position close to said dock, said chocking device comprises: a resiliently biased locking arm for chocking the lending wheel of the vehicle, a track means extending along said driveway of the dock for positioning the locking arm between an initial position and a plurality of operating positions, a controllable lock capable of selectively locking the locking arm in one of said operating positions which then becomes said chock position, said controllable lock comprising a latch means moveable within said track means and said latch means interacting with said locking arm such that when the latch means is in the operative position said locking arm is locked in said chock position. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
