PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the reception by receiving a broadcast radio wave or an optical signal automatically through changeover. SOLUTION: A receiver is provided with a reception means 1 of a radio wave from a broadcast station and a reception means 7 receiving an optical information signal. The receiver is provided with a signal strength comparison means 13 that compares the signal strength of the received signal obtained by the radio wave reception means with the signal strength of the received signal obtained by the reception means 7 and with a means 14 that selects the reception signal whose strength is discriminated to be stronger by the signal strength comparison means 13 in the 1st reception signal obtained by the reception means 1 and the 2nd reception signal obtained by the reception means 7 so that the means 14 selectively uses the information obtained by receiving a radio wave of the broadcast station or the optical information signal obtained by receiving the optical information and hence the optical information is automatically selected at a location where the reception of the radio wave from the broadcast station is difficult. |
