PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device that is high in reliability for the detection of the developing amount to an image carrier and can stably control the image density. SOLUTION: In a digital copying machine developing electrostatic latent images formed on a photoreceptor drum 11 with toner, the developing amount to the drum 11 is optically detected by a sensor unit 20 constituted of a light emitting element 21 and a light receiving element 22. A cover 24 made of a transparent conductive material is installed in front of the unit 20. A voltage for preventing the toner from being deposited and a voltage for depositing the deposited toner to the drum 11 again are selectively impressed on the cover 24 from a power source circuit 30. |
