PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To view an extended clock time on a screen of a CRT in the case that a television broadcast including a video or the like is at a halt by displaying a closed-up clock on the screen of the CRT when a video image of a broadcast or the like is missing resulting from a tuned-off power supply switch so as to prevent cost increase by a simple addition means. SOLUTION: When each power supply button of a television receiver for a remote control transmitter 1 is open, a time display changeover switch 3 provided to a remote control receiver 2 is operated and a clock display is started on a cathode ray tube 10 connecting to a screen display circuit 6 via a time generating circuit 5 instantly and a digital or analog video image appears sharply on the screen. When the broadcast is stopped, since the time is displayed with closeup on the screen of the cathode ray tube 10, a time is recognized at a glance in a room with the television receiver even without a clock or a wrist watch. |
