PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate fixed or semi-fixed formant tones by setting the delay time of a delay means according to the pitch of the generated musical tones and making the period of an initial waveform signal not proportional to the pitch. SOLUTION: A control circuit 5 delivers a reset signal RS in correspondence to the key-on timing of the musical tone to a counter 3 and inputs the F number (delay time information value) ΔF corresponding to the pitch of the musical tone to a phase accumulator 1. The counter 3 is reset to count the frequency fixed system clock ϕ and applies the output thereof as an address signal to a waveform memory 4. The sample point date is read according to the address signal out of the waveform memory 4 and is inputted to a delay feedback type musical tone synthesizing algorithm 2. At this time, the delay time of the delay means in the delay feedback type musical tone synthesizing algorithm is set according to the pitch of the generated musical tone and the period of the initial waveform type signal is so controlled as not to make the change proportional to the pitch. |
