PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing thermal stress to a fixing heater from occurring at the time of double feeding. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a CPU 200 at a specified position in the device, and a transfer bias driving circuit 300 capable of impressing specified transfer bias on a transfer roller 108 according to a command from the CPU 200, and converting the transfer current value of the bias impressed on the roller 108 into a voltage value and transmitting it to the CPU 200. Then, the CPU 200 is provided with a current detection means capable of detecting the transfer current of the bias impressed on the roller 108 and a decision means having plural reference values and comparing the reference value with the detected result from the current detection means so that the double feeding can be decided. When the decision means judges that the double feeding occurs, the actuation of a carrying means and a temperature control means is controlled so as to prevent the thermal stress. |
