摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate wasteful power consumption and to prevent noise from being produced by controlling so that the flow of air may not be generated in a state where the photoreceptor of an electrophotographic device need not be cooled. SOLUTION: When a machine works, an air blower 4 is driven to send the air to the upper part of an electrifying charger 12 through a duct 2, so that the flow of air is always generated in the charger 12 to prevent discharge produced substance by a charger wire 9 from retaining. Then, the surface temperature of the photoreceptor 11 is detected. When the detected value is equal to or above a specified value, an air blower 5 is driven to send the air in the photoreceptor 11 through a duct 3 so as to cool the photoreceptor 11. When the surface temperature of the photoreceptor 11 is equal to or under the specified value due to cooling, the air blower 5 is stopped to stop ventilation into the photoreceptor 11. The surface temperature of the photoreceptor 11 is detected also when the machine is stopped. When the detected value is equal to or above the specified value, the air is sent to the charger 12 and the photoreceptor 11 by the air blowers 4 and 5 through the ducts 2 and 3, so that the photoreceptor 11 is cooled.
