PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow bacteria and mildews to be scarcely reproduced, even when a large quantity of dust is stuck to the outer surface of a cathode-ray tube panel and to make it sanitarily preferable by forming a film which applies an antibacterial property on the outer surface of the cathode-ray tube. SOLUTION: A film which contains antibacterial metallic ions and gradually eluting them on its surface is preferable, and antibacterial metal ions are contained in silicone resin or polyester resin, for example. One or two or more kinds of Ag, Cu, Zn, Pb, Hg, Sn, Pt, Au can be used as the antibacterial metal. By forming an electrification conductive film on the outer surface of a cathode- ray tube panel, the antibacterial metal ions are contained in the electrification conductive film, moreover dust is hardly stuck to it, and the reproduction of bacteria and mildews can be restrained. The electrification conductive film is formed on the outer surface of the panel, an antireflection film having a refractive index lower than that of the electrification conductive film may be formed on it, and the antibacterial metal ions may be contained in the antireflection film. |
