<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve aggregation, adsorption capacity and flock forming ability of sludge in a system in which activated sludge, in which organic matters separated from wastewater are adsorbed and occluded, is activated and stabilized for reutilization, by bringing a dissolved component of a dissolution charge material into contact with the activated sludge so as to be mixed therewith in an activating process. SOLUTION: Wasteter containing organic matters is continuously aerated and agitated in a contact adsorption process l to cause activated sludge to adsorb and occlude organic matters having dissolvability and/or suspendibility. The waste water is separated into activated sludge and treated water from which organic matters have been removed in a solid-liquid separation process 2. The activated sludge is introduced into an activation and stabilization system 5 so that, at first, it is aerated and agitated in a stabilization process 3 so as to be maintained in an aerobic atmosphere, following which dissolved components of a dissolution charge material such as dissolvable silica are brought into contact with the activated sludge in an activation process 4 so as to be mixed therewith. The sludge is circulated between the process 3 and the process 4, and the sludge activated and stabilized in the system 5 is returned to the process 1.</p> |
