PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a good cleaning performance and to prolong the life of a toner image carrier by imparting spherical particles on the toner image carrier, the spherical particles are made of material having such the quality of continuously sticking to the surface of the toner image carrier even after transfer. SOLUTION: A particle imparting process of imparting the spherical particles 10 on the photoreceptor 1 is arranged, the spherical particles are made of the material having such the quality of continuously sticking to the surface of the photoreceptor 1 even after the transfer is finished by a transfer device, and also, the particles are prepared for forming a thin layer. In this device, the hardness of a cleaning blade 8 and other cleaning conditions are set so that the toner particles 11 remaining on the photoreceptor 1 may be completely scraped. And, the spherical particles 10 imparted on the photoreceptor 1 are made of the material having such the quality of continuously sticking to the surface of the photoreceptor 1 even after the transfer is finished by the transfer device, for example, acrylic acid polymer. Thus, the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is prevented from wearing down. |
