PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the most efficient performance suitable to various specifications, applications and using environments, while using the same structure and the same manufacturing line by providing a fluorescent lamp, an airtight case for housing the fluorescent lamp, and a translucent part,, and regulating the internal space state of the airtight case in the manufacturing process. SOLUTION: A fluorescent lamp 1 is integrated into a lamp holder 2, the lamp holder 2 is connected to a light guide plate 4, and the connecting part is sealed by a sealing resin 5. For use with a low power consumption and small calorific value or the use in a low-temperature environment, the internal space of the lamp holder 2 is deaerated. On the other hand, for a long-time continuous use with high luminance or the use under a high-temperature environment, the internal space of the holder 2 is filled with a fluid having high thermal conductivity. Thus, in the former case, the radiation from the fluorescent lamp 1 can be suppressed to provide a satisfactory temperature characteristic with good luminous efficiency. In the latter case, the heat of the fluorescent lamp 1 can be efficiently released to bring the temperature close to a temperature having good luminous efficiency. |
