PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of density control even in the case where the developer quantity of a developer image for correcting a measuring timing error is insufficient. SOLUTION: In the case where a main controller 26 judges that the developer quantity of a developer image for correcting the measuring timing error is insufficient based on reflection density information from a density sensor 25 at the time of controller the density, the main controller 26 controls so as to correct reflection density measuring timing from the developer image for density control of the density sensor 25 by using the error information of a relative position between an intermediate transfer drum 6 and the density sensor 35 in the case where the developer quantity of the developer image for correcting the measuring timing error, which is already stored in a storage device 60, is sufficient, without using the error information of the relative position between the intermediate transfer drum 6 and the density sensor 25 at the time of being calculated so that the accuracy of the density control is improved even in the case where the developer quantity of the developer image for correcting the measuring timing error is insufficient. |
