PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of the disconnection of a lead wire in the inspection of performance or the like by a method wherein an adhesive or a buffer member such as rubber plate material is provided on load beam edges at the front and rear ends of a load beam part holding the lead wire being exposed and the lead wire is placed and fixed thereon. SOLUTION: At load beam edges 3d and 3e at the front and rear ends of a load beam part 3b, an adhesive is applied and hardened on a semi-cylindrical internal surface and a lead wire 4 is placed thereon and fixed by the adhesive. The adhesive herein used may be of a thermosetting or an ultraviolet irradiation hardening type and may serve as buffer material with the thickness of coating of 100μm or more. In place of the adhesive, a rubber plate material, a felt material or the like may be employed. As a result, direct contact can be avoided between the lead wire 4 and the load beam edges 3d and 3e. This can prevent the generation of fault as caused by the disconnection of the lead wire 4 in the inspection of performance or the like of a magnetic head.
