PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable data communication on a radio channel without needing a special adaptor by automatically sending the message to start data communication to a radio mobile telephone network and applying error correction processing and data compression processing for a radio block to the information stored in a portable telephone set. SOLUTION: When a key entry operation section 306 operates start of data communication, a microcomputer 104 sends an additional message denoting data communication start via a radio transmission reception section. When an active message denoting data communication enable is returned from a receiver side portable telephone set, a voice bus is closed and the mode is set to the data communication mode. A control data addition delete section 304 extracts data stored in a RAM 301 and a ROM 302 and adds a head address and a transmission data length to the data to process a format for data communication. Then a radio block error control section 204 adds an error correction code to the data, and a data compression expansion section 205 applies compression processing to the data and the resulting data are sent via the radio transmission reception section 303. |
