PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the tacky adhesive power when a rewettable glue layer is rewetted and the adhesive power to the adherend of the rewettable glue layer by incorporating rewettable glue and sulfone denatured polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) into the rewettable glue layer. SOLUTION: The rewettable glue and the sulfone denatured PVA are incorporated into the rewettable glue layer of the thermosensitive recording medium successively having the rewettable glue layer, a base and a thermosensitive recording layer contg. leuco dyes and coloring agents. While the use ratio of both is not particularly limited, the sulfone denatured PVA of about 5 to 60 wt.% to the rewettable glue is preferable. The total amt. of the rewettable glue and sulfone denatured PVA to be used is >=40 wt.%, more preferably >=50 wt.% of the amt. of the rewettable glue layer. The sulfone denatured PVA is obtd. by copolymerizing a vinyl ester monomer and N-sulfoalkyl (meth) acryl amide, then saponificating the copolymer. |
