PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize reproduction of a low frequency sound component with a large sound pressure regardless of a small volume cabinet. SOLUTION: The speaker unit is provided with a diaphragm 5, an edge 6 formed by forming an elastic material to be a roll, and a frame 4, a cross sectional shape of at least a top of the edge 6 is formed to be nearly a circular- arc shape, and conditions of 0.55×W1<=H<=1.5×W1 and 1.07×(<2> +W2<2> )<0.5> <=L<=2.9×(X<2> +W2<2> )<0.5> are satisfied, where W1 is a width of an outer side roll rising part of the edge cross section, W2 is a width of an inner side roll rising part of the edge cross section, H is a full height of the edge cross section, L is an inner circular-arc length of the edge cross section, and X is a maximum amplitude of the diaphragm. Thus, the amplitude of the diaphragm is∥high, the edge 6 is not made flat but keeps a roll shape, then no yield deformation of the edge caused by the cabinet internal sound pressure is gnenrates and a low frequency component is reproduced under a high sound pressure regardless of a small volume cabinet.
