PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of cracks on a dielectric layer, prevent collapsing, peelings, or meanderings of a barrier rib when the barrier rib is provided on the dielectric layer, and increase display quality by setting the thickness of the dielectric layer formed on an electrode layer formed on a substrate to specific times the thickness of the electrode layer. SOLUTION: A dielectric paste is applied on a glass substrate formed with electrodes and is baked to form a dielectric layer, then a photosensitive dielectric paste is applied and exposed to form a paint film. A barrier rib pattern is formed with a photosensitive paste by photolithography on the formed paint film, an the paint film and the barrier rib pattern are baked at the some time. The thickness of the dielectric layer is set to 1.1-5 times the thickness of the electrodes, an inorganic material mainly made of glass and practically containing no alkaline earth metal is used for the dielectric layer. The warping of the substrate at the time of baking and the cracking at the time of panel sealing can be thereby prevented. |
