PN CODE GENERATOR AND MOBILE RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep synchronization of a code pattern even when most times are not in duty at non-reception of a long PN code and to reduce-the power consumption. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a PN code generating section 100 that uses a primitive polynomial G(x) to generate PN codes with a prescribed stage number and shifts contents of code of each stage toward post- stages according to a shift clock. Let number of shift times that is equivalent to a period after the PN code generating section 100 is inactive till the section 100 is restarted be (i), then a value x modG(x) calculated by a mask calculation section 400 is stored as a mask value by a mask storage section 300 and the mask value and a serial output of a parallel/serial conversion section 200 storing a code state just before it is inactive are ANDed and the result is given to each stage of the PN code generating section and an object code state is obtained by shift clocks by number of the PN code stages.
