PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of maintaining good developing quality by preventing developer from being aggregated and solidified near a part where a developer carrier and a developer control member face each other. SOLUTION: The device is composed of the developer carrier 1 which is installed so as to carry the developer on the outer peripheral surface and also so as to make the outer peripheral surface movable, a developer supply member 2 for supplying the developer to the developer carrier 1 and the developer control member 3 which is placed opposite to the developer carrier 1 so as to control the quantity of the developer on the developer carrier 1. In this case, the device is provided with a developer increasing means 4 for increasing the quantity of the developer on the developer carrier 1 in the upstream part of the developer control member 3 at a non-developing time more than at a developing time. |
