PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a program on a different channel as a slave picture at the time of digital broadcasting reception by providing a video signal overlay part for overlaying and outputting a video signal outputted from a 2nd video signal decoding part at a prescribed position in a video signal outputted from a 1st video signal decoding part. SOLUTION: A video signal decoding part 104 outputs a video signal decoded while controlling the storage of a video signal reproduced through a memory controller 110 into a memory 109, the output of the video signal stored in the memory 109 to a motion compensator 108 and an output as a regenerative video signal. A video signal decoding part 111 outputs a video signal decoded while controlling the storage of a video signal reproduced through a memory controller 117 into a memory 116, the output of the video signal stored in the memory 116 to a motion compensator 115, and an output as a regenerative video signal. An overlay part 118 overlays and outputs the video signal reproduced by the video signal decoding part 111 at the prescribed position in the video signal reproduced by the video signal decoding part 104.
