PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the duration for the retrieval and reservation of a program by transmitting master data and program base information simultaneously with broadcasting, receiving, reproducing and displaying the program base information before the reception of master data is completed at reception terminal equipment. SOLUTION: To a data generating part 3 for transmission, the master data are sent from a transmission information database 11 and the program base information is sent from an information retrieval part 2. The data generating part 3 for transmission transforms the master data and program base information into transmissible data. The transformed and generated transmission data are sent through a data sending part 8 to a transmission part 5 and transmitted from here as broadcasting signals. The reception terminal equipment for receiving broadcasted program information receives the program base information broadcasted in a short time cycle, almost instantaneously prepares a program guide and displays the program information. Concerning the master data transmitted in a long cycle, on the other hand, it takes long time to receive and display data such as the detailed explanation of the program.
