PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set that is independent of a reception environment and an operation interruption state and in which the power consumption is saved by user setting. SOLUTION: A monitor section 3 monitors whether key entry from an operation section 2 activates a battery saving function or inactivates the function. A control section 5 sets a time of a power-on timer and a power-off timer in a timer 4 according to a power-off time by key entry to start them and executes repetitively the activation of a power supply section 1 when the control section 5 receives an interruption by the power-off timer and the inactivation of the power supply section 1 when the control section 5 receives an interruption by the power-on timer while the battery saving function interrupts is effective. |
