摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-definition reproduced image not to be affected by a variable magnification rate, without decreasing an edge emphasis effect by half because of the variable magnification rate by arranging a variable magnifying processing part after the next step of an edge processing part and switching the edge processing part to the control according to the selected variable magnification rate. SOLUTION: An output signal from an edge emphasizing circuit 25 of a scanner 20 is inputted to a variable magnification circuit 601. When the variable magnification rate of 100% (unmagnified) is selected at the variable magnification circuit 601, the edge emphasis circuit 25 respectively sets A0=A2=-64 and A1=256 to coefficients A0-A2 in the operation expression of edge emphasis, and the edge emphasis effect is provided and inputted to the variable magnification circuit 601. When the variable magnification rate of 200% is selected at the variable magnification circuit 601, the edge emphasis circuit 25 respectively sets A0=A2=-90 and A1=308 to the coefficients A0 to A2.</p>
