Process for improving the plasticity of ceramic compositions and for reversing this effect

The plasticity of water-containing ceramic materials and dispersions is improved by adding 0.1-5 wt% (based on the water content) of polymer(s) (I) with repeating succinyl units, and this effect is reversed by adding 0.01-1 wt% setting accelerator(s) (II) which neutralize the ionically active and interface-specific effects of (I).
