SOLUTION: A post-office box 0121 or the like in a post office or the like is provided with a posting state detection means 0105 to detect the presence of a posted mail or the like, a message input means 0140 enters storage information of a registered mail or the like, the information is informed automatically via a public communication network to a telephone set, a portable telephone set, a PHS, a FAX and a personal computer or the like possessed by the user of the post-office box and an inquiry from the user is automatically replied. Thus, the user confirms remotely the mail at any time from a desired place by a communication means desired by the user without visiting the post office or the like and checking the post-office box. |
