PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily execute panoramic photographing of high picture quality by a camcorder. SOLUTION: When photographing is started, processing is allowed to wait for a camera to be turned to a static state based on a moving vector to be used for compression encoding. When the camera is turned to the static state, its frame is recorded and a message is displayed in a finder and informed of (S2). After recording, the accumulated values ax, ay of horizontal and vertical moving vectors are respectively initialized and horizontal and vertical moving vectors are respectively accumulated as ax and ay (S3, S4). The ax and ay are respectively compared with a prescribed value (m) and moving vectors are accumulated until either one of the ax and ay exceeds the value (m) to wait for the camera to move a certain distance (S5). When either one of the ax and ay exceeds the value (m), the processing is returned to a step S1 and steps S1 to S5 are repeated to obtain a panoramic picture. |
