PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image edition system capable of editing an image by easy operation without requiring an editor. SOLUTION: A microcomputer(MC) reads out a signal for discriminating a circle (○) area (selected area) or a crossed (×) area (non-selected area) from a non-volatile memory and judges whether a part to be reproduced in a tape cassette is a○area or a×area (step S304). When the part to be reproduced is not the○area, a video camera sends a video deck temporary stop signal from a remote controlling light receiving/projecting window to stop the picture recording of the video deck (step S305) and fast-forward the reproduced part of the tape cassette other than the○area (step S306). When the reproduced part of the tape cassette is the○area, the video camera sends a video deck recording signal from the light receiving/projecting window to start the video recording of the video deck (step S307).
