<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system that realizes the power management of a system accompanying the setting pre-processing and a setting post- processing of an ACPI-only register with a hardware emulsion (software) function and minimizes hardware added by ACPI. SOLUTION: SMI is issued to CPU accompanying the setting pre-processing of the ACPI-only register 17, and SM-BIOS manages the power of the system. A value is set to the ACPI-only register showing the wake-up cause and the power management event of the system and PME is informed to OSPM 120. At the time of the setting post-processing of the ACPI-only register 17, SMI is issued to CPU 11 and SM-BIOS manages the power of the system.</p> |
