PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the clogging of a toner supplying roller in nonmagnetic one-component development. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a developing housing 40, a developing roller 50 for forming a toner image on a photoreceptor drum 6, the toner supplying roller 60 for supplying toner to the developing roller 50 and a vibration exciter means 70 for vibrating the toner supplying roller 60. The vibration exciter means 70, for instance a piezoelectric vibrator can be attached to the shaft 61 of the toner supplying roller 60 or provided to be adjacent to the outside surface of the roller 60. For instance, before or after a toner image is formed, when the developing device is driven or whenever a specified time lapses, the toner supplying roller is vibrated to prevent the sponge member 61 of the roller 60 from being clogged with the toner. It is preferable that the triboelectrification between the sponge member 61 and the toner and the triboelectrification of the toner by the sponge member 61 and the developing roller 50 are accelerated. |
